Huge Elephant Ears

I was driving on the way back from work when I saw some huge elephant ears. I don’t know what it is about big honkin elephant ears that I like so much, but I do like them. The leaves on these were probably four feet across, and five to six feet in length. That’s pretty cool.
I’ve had elephant ears in the past, but I have never been able to get them to that size. The rule of thumb is to plant them after the last frost as you can imagine, then dig them up in the fall before the first frost. Alternatively you can keep them in the ground and pile one to two feet of thick mulch on top of the shorn plant. This should help insulate it from the ground without damaging the roots.
How big are you elephant ears?
